The food pairing was perfect as always
I had the pleasure of attending a tasting dinner hosted by @winematters.nl and @mausigny at @avalonwijnenspijs, featuring the Cape Winemakers Guild.
The #CWG has the goal of fostering information sharing and promoting the highest quality South African wine. An exciting event is the annual auction, featuring wines specially crafted by guild members. These are limited-production wines with CWS labels, and last year’s auction saw 513 lots sell for a total hammer price of about €700,000. Impressive, right? The membership is by invitation only, with 40 members for now.
The food pairing was perfect as always, but my absolute favorite had to be the Terrine with chicken, livers, and boudin blanc! This dish elevated the wines to a whole new level of beauty and made the evening truly memorable. Thank you for consistently ensuring our happiness!
